The peptide protocols described on this website are compounded preparations. They are not FDA-approved animal drugs. They have not been evaluated by the U.S. Food and Drug Administration for safety or efficacy in dogs.

Compounded preparations are prepared by a licensed pharmacy from bulk drug substances against a patient-specific prescription, and may be dispensed when a licensed veterinarian who has established a valid veterinarian-client-patient relationship determines that no FDA-approved product will meet the medical needs of a specific animal patient.

No treatment claims

Nothing on this website is intended to diagnose, treat, cure, or prevent any disease or condition. Statements describing what peptides are used for, or what pet owners report, describe clinical use and reported experience. They are not claims of proven efficacy.

Much of the underlying research referenced in our educational materials is preclinical. Where we describe evidence, we attempt to characterize its strength accurately, and where evidence is limited, we say so.

Animals respond differently. Some show meaningful change on a protocol and some show none. No outcome is promised or implied, and any timelines described on this site reflect commonly reported patterns rather than expected results for your animal.

Telehealth has limitations

A remote consultation does not include the physical examination, diagnostics, imaging, or laboratory testing available during an in-person veterinary visit. Because of that, a telehealth consultation may be less complete than an in-person appointment, and a veterinarian may decline to prescribe and recommend an in-person evaluation instead.

Contraindications and screening

Peptide protocols that promote tissue repair are not appropriate for all animals. Animals with active or recently treated cancer, and pregnant or nursing animals, are not candidates. Animals with significant kidney or liver compromise require individual evaluation.

Complete and accurate information on your intake form, including cancer history and all current medications, is essential to safe screening. Withholding or misstating this information may result in a protocol that is unsafe for your animal.

Do not change other treatments

Do not start, stop, or change the dose of any medication prescribed by another veterinarian based on information from this site or on a protocol from Revive Pet Health. Discuss any such change with the veterinarian who prescribed it.

Reporting adverse effects

If your animal experiences an adverse reaction, stop the protocol and contact your veterinarian. Report it to us using the contact details below so it can be reviewed by the prescribing veterinarian.

Veterinary telehealth and prescribing requirements are governed by state law and vary significantly. Our ability to serve you depends on the state in which you and your animal are located, and services described on this site are not available in all states.
